Ideas for my magazine front cover

This XXL magazine follows all the convetions such as stamps, masterhead, coverlines, main features including a medium close up shot of the artists which will prove to be successful when producing my magazine front cover. This can help give me guidelines to maintain a good structure in both my front cover and contents page. Out of all the magazines i've descontructed and analysed, XXL has been the most inspiring one to follow on from by using ideas similar to this magazine and creating my own.

  1. You've used technical vocabulary here to support your ideas about what would be 'successful' to use in your own magazines but you need to be far more specific about the use of conventions and how they are used to signify something to consumers. E.G Why does the image highlight the tattoos (mise-en-scene) on the model - what does this suggest? What does the font choices suggest and why have the word 'game' been cut out so it allows the layer below to be scene - it's important you deconstruct these subtleties!

  2. 'to be scene' should be 'to be seen'!

  3. Thank you for the feedback, I will edit and deconstruct it in far more detail to highlight the key terms of the front cover using mise-en-scene.
